SIMPLY STAY ("we", "us", "our") is a SaaS product built for PG and hostel owners in India. We are headquartered in Bangalore, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform at SIMPLY STAY.in and associated mobile or web applications.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, password
• Property information: PG name, address, room and bed details
• Tenant data: name, ID proof type, contact details, payment history
• Payment data: screenshots and transaction IDs you upload for verification (we do not store raw card numbers)
• Usage data: log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the SIMPLY STAY platform
• To send rent reminders and notifications as configured by you
• To process subscription billing via Razorpay
• To respond to customer support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Razorpay — for payment processing
• Cloudinary — for storing payment screenshots and media
• WhatsApp / SMS providers — to send notifications you have configured
• Email providers (SendGrid / Nodemailer) — to send transactional emails
• Law enforcement when required by law

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We store data on servers in India. Optional two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for admin accounts. We regularly audit our infrastructure for security vulnerabilities.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain data for 90 days in case you wish to recover it, after which it is permanently deleted. Payment records required for tax compliance are retained for 7 years as required by Indian law.

• Export your data in a portable format
